I thought I would compile a list of the driver versions that came on the NC10 as well those that are available from Samsung and from the OEM vendor themselves. All versions should be for WInXP Home/Pro 32-bit unless otherwise noted. The links are for the US and English. If you want to check your own country for differences, please use that support center (WLAN drivers are probably different between the countries due to frequency licensing).

** Official Driver List -- Samsung or OEM website direct only **

*note: from my personal experience, Samsung doesn't use any driver customization. The OEM drivers shoulf function the same or better as long as they are newer (pending any new bugs ).

*The NC10 and the NC10-SE and NC110 share the same basic hardware, so the drivers should be compatible, but the BIOSes are different.

Base NC10: US, purchased 2008-11, original hardware revisions for first run NC10

Samsung NC10 Support Centers:
US
UK
Germany/Deutschland
Canada, Australia - no support pages
Other Countries - sorry, I only read English and German, most drivers appear to only be on the US site

Firmware:
initial: 02CA

intel 945 Chipset page: WinXP Home, WinXP Pro, Vista (XP Home and Pro should be the same)

intel Chipset - 945GSE (still debated as may be 945GME--drivers are the same either way)
initial: 8.2.0.1014

intel GMA - GMA 950(part of 945 Express chipset)
initial: 6.14.10.4926

Atheros: N/A (Atheros doesn't provide direct drivers)
* note - unofficial drivers can be found with higher version number. see below.

Sound - Realtek ALC272
initial: 5.10.0.5693
Samsung: 5.10.0.5693
Realtek: 5.10.0.5953 (R2.35 on the website)
*note: if you want Samsung EDS, you have to get that as part of the official Samsung Driver; it seems that if you update with the Realtek driver, you need to reinstall EDS to get it work again (or you can create your own combo install back by overwriting the sound driver in the Samsung package)
*note: Realtek updates their drivers VERY frequently, but not necessarily a lot changes. This single driver pack supports a lot of chips and a lot of vendors.

Touchpad - Synaptics PS/2
initial: 11.1.3.2
Samsung: 11.1.3.2
Synaptics: 14.0.3
* note - unofficial drivers can be found with higher version number. see below.

Camera - Namuga 1.3M USB (id 326)
initial: 343.2001.4001.5
Samsung: 343.2001.4001.7 or 343.2001.4001.13
* NC10 download page has only .7 version, but the N310 page as .13. There is also a new camera driver with version 7.* -- this is for a different camera than the Namuga one, so the camera on newer NC10 models may be different.
Namuga/Vimicro: N/A (model doesn't exist on wither website)

Bluetooth - Broadcom 2045
initial: 5.1.0.3300
Samsung: 5.5.0.7000
Broadcom: 5.5.0.7800
(website has a small app that just always gets the most current version from there servers--no direct download of actual driver)

To get hotkeys working, you need to install:

Samsung Easy Display Manager - allows most hotkeys to function
Samsung Battery Manager - maybe not needed, but probably works with speedup manager
Samsung Easy Keyboard-it allows the Samsung Magic Doctor (Fn+F7) and Easy SpeedUp Manager (Fn+F8) keys to work

I went through and added links to the relevant site so people don't need to search through them. I do plan on keeping it offical, but I added a small section to list the unoffical ones. BUT USE ANYTHING NON OFFICIAL AT YOUR OWN RISK. If it's not coming from Samsung or the OEM, you can't verify what you're installing.

I was going to look at the Broadcom software today, and something is going on. It just links to an outside site partnered with Broadcom but talking about USB adapters. Strange.

The drivers here have helped me get Vista(Lite) onto the Samsung NC-10. The vista experience is at 2.7 and not sluggish at all. I am also getting 6+ hours at middle brightness and WiFi on. I have not managed to get the Webcam working ? Would appreciate some help anyone ? Reg' J13
